!Aurora Aeternum Rules, Ranks, Rotations, and DKP
Aurora Aeternum is a raiding guild dedicated to progression within the confines of a limited raiding schedule. We raid from 8:30 pm to Midnight Pacific time, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Sometimes the raids run a little beyond Midnight, so don't freak out if we're killing the last boss at 12:02 am. Our goal is to quickly, efficiently, and smoothly conquer content. If you're looking for a guild that expects and requires a high level of skill and commitment, Aurora Aeternum may be right for you. We will not be all things to all people. We are raiding guild and that guides all our decisions. Raiding with us means getting to see content few WoW players get to see, and that opportunity isn't without certain costs. Minimum age requirement is 21.
!Leadership
!!Leader
Mittenz is the leader of Aurora Aeternum. The guild leader is the final decision maker for the guild. He is responsible for interpretation of guild principles and direction, resolving conflicts, maintaining the guild bank and planning guild progression. Mait is the second in command when Mittenz isn't available.
!!Officers
Officers handle many of the important day-to-day activities of the guild. This includes leading and recording scheduled raids, overseeing recruitment, arbitration over minor disputes, and ensuring adherence to the guild rules and principles.
Mait - Healing/DPS/Raid Leader/Banker/Recruiter
Kahndar - EPGP Administrator
Abhimanyu - Tanking Officer
Auvrey - Melee DPS Officer
!!Raiding
Raiders are expected to perform at a high level. Coming on a raid is giving you the opportunity to experience content that relatively few players will ever see, and a chance at loot that most players only dream of. Perhaps surprisingly, this opportunity doesn't come free. We don't bring you along just because you're a nice person. We bring people to raids because we believe they will actively contribute towards our current and future success in raiding.
If we feel someone is not performing at their full capacity, we will speak with them about it. Repeated offenders will be demoted and possibly removed from the guild. Within the bounds of gear and consumables, we expect our members to measure up to the best of the best in terms of raid performance. This means that every raider is expected to read any pre-existing strategies for bosses we have not attempted and to at least review, if not contribute to, any in-guild discussions on current progression bosses.
You should have zero problems obtaining all necessary consumables. (4 flasks per night, repairs, and class consumables - food, pots, etc). People who are not prepared will be replaced by those who are. People who are chronically unprepared will be permanently replaced.
!!Raid Invites
Raids start at 8:30 pm. Raid invites start at 8:25 pm. First Pull is at 8:32 pm. You're expected to be at the zone in, fully repaired and ready to raid by 8:25 pm. For purposes of earning EPGP for being on standby you must:
Be available on your main or alt. Also be in Vent
Be available to zone your character in within 5 minutes of notice.
Be on your main at 8:25 pm for the raid snapshot.
Whisper the EPGP leader at each 1 hour interval (guild chat warning)
!!Raid Composition
The raid leader will always try to make a balanced and fair raid based on the content being worked on. We do not require 100% attendance and therefore there will be nights with more raiders than raid slots. We do track attendance and will make our best effort to rotate Raiders equally whenever possible. The only people exempt from this rule are Mittenz and Mait, in an effort to maintain as consistent as possible raid leadership.
__No system is perfect. We'll try to limit the inequalities of any rotation system as much as possible, but your understanding and patience is appreciated.__
Apps and potential apps may be invited to guild run 10 man instances, however it it entirely up to the raid leader regarding the number or availability of spots.
Sidenote:
_Required Mods_Deadly Boss Mods /Omen are required for our raids and Vent as well.
!!Raiding Ranks
__Raider__
Raiders should be able to attend a minimum of 85% of the guild raids. This is the primary raiding force of Aurora Aeternum. As a Raider you will get priority invites as long as you're online in time. If you get on after 8:25 pm you forfeit your right to a priority invite, unless your class is specifically needed for the raid. The goal is to always have a sufficient core raiding force to tackle any encounter in the game. If you fail to maintain the required attendance levels you might be moved to the Member rank. To return to the Raider rank, you need to maintain the required Raider attendance for 4 weeks.
Required Qualities
o All qualities of lower ranks
o Maintain 85% or better attendance
__Adjuct Raider__
These are qualified raiders who are recognized as being of raider quality, but who are unable to make the higher attendance requirement, or the raider slot is filled. As a Member you're a backup for when there are insufficient Raiders available to fill the raid. It's expected that you do not ask for a spot for cutting edge raids - the leaders will offer the slot to you if it is required to fill or balance the raid. For farm content you might get a spot if the leaders and raider you'd replace agrees. If you are offered a spot in a raid you're expected to use potions, elixirs and/or flasks. You're also expected go to standby if asked to do so by the raid leaders. You earn DKP for every raid you're available or participate in. You are expected to be at the raid entrance within 5 minutes of receiving notice.
If you fail to maintain the required attendance, you might be moved down to a non-raiding rank. If this happens, you will need to retrial to return to raider status (to ensure you can maintain the required attendance levels).
Required Qualities
o All qualities of lower ranks
o Maintain 50% or better attendance
Both Adj Raiders and Raiders are required to have a Run Speed enchant on their boots or have an equivalent talent (ie Paladins), not the run-speed meta-gem.
__App__
Players that wish to raid and would like to be evaluated, contingent upon the approval of Mittenz. The App rank is temporary to allow an evaluation of the player's performance in a raiding environment. Apps have lower priority on loot, after Raiders. After evaluation has finished, typically within 2-4 weeks, the App will be moved to Raider or Adj Raider ranks if (s)he passes the evaluation. If he fails the trial, (s)he is likely to be removed from the guild. In some cases continued membership in the guild as a non-raiding Member is possible.
Required Qualities
o All qualities of lower ranks
o Loyalty to the guild and its goals
o Has a good understanding of the game mechanics
o Has a good understanding of his/her class(es)
o Notify the guild if you will be absent from a raid.
o Has a positive impact on guild raids:
o Engaged and focused on the raid
o Always shows up prepared (reagents, repairs, gear, boss strategies, etc)
o Uses consumables as required for the raid (elixirs, flasks, potions)
o Follows the instructions of the raid leader and class leader
o Has and uses any required add-ons
o Has and uses Ventrilo
__Attendance__
Attendance is calculated on a rolling 4 week time frame.
Raiders may be granted Extended Leaves for illness, business, vacations and final exams. These extended leaves should be 2-4 weeks and you may not take back to back extended leaves and no more than 2 within a 6 month period and 3 within a calendar year while maintaining a Raider rank. When returning from an extended leave you will be required to 'freshen up' on farm content and may be left out of progression fights for a few weeks. It's not personal. If you fail to return by the end of your extended break or cannot make the raiding attendence requirements upon return, we understand stuff comes up, but the guild needs to be fair to all it's raiding members and you will be demoted to Member. If your attendence meets required levels upon your return or demotion and there is a Raider slot available, you will be reinstated. If you do not return at the end of your extended leave timeframe, the officers may seek to recruit or promote to fill your raid slot. Any extended leave of longer than 3 months will result in a reset of DKP.
If you were demoted as a result of an extended leave, you must provide a solid 'return date' before we will consider attendance credit toward reinstatement. As noted, meeting attendance only makes you eligible for a Raider slot as long as one is open.
!!Non-raiding Rank
__Reservists__
You were recruited to the guild because you have a friend here and wanted to play with them or have been a part of Aurora Aeternum and are currently unable to raid for various reasons. You were not recruited to raid and will not be asked to raid unless there is no Core Raider, Raider or App able to fill a spot. If a Reservist would like to apply for Raider status then they need to let Fujigato or Mait know their intentions and submit an app in a PM on the forum. The Reservists rank is also populated by ex-Raiders that are unable to make attendance requirements or have not shown the dedication or skill needed to maintain Raider status. These players might get invited to raids should there be a need or space. Members can not acquire standby DKP, but will acquire DKP if invited to raids.
Required Qualities
Good conduct in the game is necessary, be it while questing, instances or PvP. Any kind of bad behavior such as harassment or ninja-looting will not be tolerated. If you make an ass of yourself in /general or /trade you may find yourself guildless.
Has a generally positive demeanor and is a good influence on the guild.
__Alt__
This rank should speak for itself. However, there are cases where a player decides that they would like to make their alt their main. This can be done but that player will only be considered for raids if we are recruiting for that class and they undergo the Trial process all over again.
!!Loot
We use EPGP for loot, with a loot council for Tier Set pieces and Legendaries are by GM decision.
